Why are you in the music business?

One of the Hardest business adventures to make money in.  The Musc Business.
Why are you in the music business?  Is it because you always wanted to play an instrument?  Is it because you thought being a rock star looked like a cool life?  Is it because you want to travel the world?

Like many other things people do, maybe you don't know why you play music in local clubs until 2am.  Why you drive in a car for 20 hours to a bar where you play for 30 minites. Why you recorded a demo record.  Why you had to have T-shirts made with your band logo on them.  Why for months you are on the road from one town to the next and have no money, no place to live.  You have not had a shower in a week.  All seems crazy doesn't it.

Some of us crazy people would not trade it for any other job out there.  We know it is just what we are supposed to be doing.

Now this has nothing to do with actually planning and seeking to earn a living playing music.  Hundreds of great musicians I have worked with, haven't a clue how to manage a check book, create a business case or many other things it takes to turn music into a career.

That is, in part, why I started Traina Studios.  The first starving artist I ever met was my dad.  Him and many of my other music partners have died way too soon in this crazy world we call THE MUSIC BUSINESS.

I am almost 48 years old.  Still there is nothing other than being in the music business that I want to do.  I love recording music, playing live, and a hundred other reasons that music is my life.

Until a few years ago, I did not think a career in music was possible.  You needed some 'Lucky Break' or had to know someone in the business for that to happen.

Times are changing.  We have to change with them.

If music is you passion and you would like to work with a team that truly care about music and the musicians who play it.  Come to my recording studio and lets talk.  I want to help you succeed.  Unfortunately you must want to succeed at it also.

Dreams don't become reality without hard work and dedication.

Recording, Mixing and Mastering your next CD is a good place to start.  Next a business plan and a million other things I can think of but one step at a time.

If you have a song that you want to capture and you think it is the greatest song you have ever heard.  Bring it to us.  We will make it even better.

We are all about one thing.  Making good songs.  Focus on that before you focus on being MR Rock Star.
